Licensed Professional Land Surveyor or Surveyor in Training

Horizons Engineering is looking for a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor or Surveyor in Training to join our team and provide high-quality surveying services to our clients using state-of-the-art equipment. You will be working with a dedicated and diverse team of civil engineers, surveyors and geologists on a variety of residential, commercial, institutional, energy, and commercial projects. Job Responsibilities

  • Project Management of all facets of surveying typical for northern New England
  • Manage field crews, and complete field surveying using robotic and GPS RTK instruments
  • Create reports and maps according to customer or project requirements
  • Prepare engineering basemaps for civil and structural design projects
  • Communicate with architects, engineers, geologists, etc. in a collaborative effort
  • Follow accepted state surveying standards
  • Numerous other duties as assigned
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Surveying or a related engineering field
  • Ten years' experience as a land surveyor with some Supervisory experience
  • Professional Land Surveying license, or Land Surveyor in Training
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of mapping concepts
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work outdoors in varied terrain
  • Experience with computer drafting programs
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work in one of our many locations throughout New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont
