Oil Pastel Drawing Intensive with Steven Teczar

This 4-week drawing course, which relies on oil pastel on paper as the medium, is based on best drawing practices and habits of mind, issues in pictorial representation, color theory, mark-making, and creative self-expression. Initial projects focus on an introduction to the medium, mark-making, and drawing from observation. Later projects are based on personal interests and content. The class includes demonstrations and critiques. Out-of-class work, while optional, will enhance the learning process and quality of one’s drawings.
