Not Your Usual Burns Night

Join us for “Not Your Usual Burns Night,” a modern take on a Scottish tradition! Celebrate Scotland's National Bard, Robert Burns during an evening of poetry, song, dance, food, and drink, hosted by Iona MacGowan, recently named New England's Emerging Scot of the Year. Come for the whole evening or just join us for dancing and dessert. This is a tiered pricing event with special activities taking place from 5:30 – 11PM. Purchase your tickets today. VIP RECEPTION & MORE – LIMITED TIX AVAILABLE! 5:30–11 PM Kick off Burns Night with at the VIP Reception, which features a special performance by Maureen McMullan, delicious hors d’oeuvres, a whisky tasting, open bar, and a complimentary gift bag. The VIP Reception takes place from 5:30 – 6:30pm. Your VIP ticket grants access to all festivities. Tickets are $250. “BURNS NIGHT” CELEBRATION & CEILIDH 6:30–8 PM Special greetings from Ayrshire, Scotland. Enjoy recitations from Robert Burns literary work, light snacks, canapes and a complimentary drink ticket. This cost includes the Celebration & Ceilidh, which begins at 8pm. Tickets are $85. “BURNS NIGHT” CEILIDH 8–11 PM, Join us for music, dancing and dessert featuring live music by the Mystic River Ceilidh Band and dance caller Summer McCall. After Auld Lang Syne stay for a fun, fresh take on ceilidh music with Ramblx. Tickets are $40. “Not Your Usual Burns Night” is presented by NHSCOT, Scotland Foundation USA, Scots in New England, Scottish Development International, and the British Consulate General Boston, and sponsored by Old Pulteney, Arran, Balblair, and Caorunn. Proceeds from this inaugural event will support the conservation of Robert Burns sites in Ayrshire, Scotland.
