Inspired by the overwhelming community response to her powerful exhibit, Finding Home: Portraits and Memories of Immigrants, The Gallery at WREN is delighted to welcome back photographer Becky Field for a second artist talk on Saturday, October 11 at 1:30 pm. In this special presentation, Becky will offer a new look at her work and explore the story behind her photography project with more than a decade spent documenting the rich cultural diversity and resilience of New Hampshire’s immigrant communities. Becky will also introduce another project titled Crying in the Wilderness: An Immigrant’s Journey in Detention, which seeks to shed light on the human impact of our immigration system. This is a rare opportunity to connect more deeply with the stories behind the portraits and to reflect as a community on themes of belonging, justice, and hope. The exhibit Finding Home is on view at The Gallery at WREN through October 24, with a companion show, Our Future Leaders: Children of Immigrants, at the Adair Country Inn & Restaurant. The talk is free and open to all! Registration is not required but is appreciated. Register here: https://www.wrenworks.org/events
