SUMMARY:Paper Mache Masks
DESCRIPTION:FREE workshop for kids ages 10+ Join us for the first workshop in our Wings 2.0 summer series! We will be making paper mache masks in this two-part workshop. We will make our mask forms on Tuesday and decorate them on Thursday. Making masks is a practice that dates back to ancient times. In this workshop\, we will explore different types of masks and the different reasons we might make and wear them. All of our summer workshop participants are invited to join us at WREN on Saturday\, August 12th for Summerfest. WREN will have a table for the Wings 2.0 program where we can display our work\, and participants can also join in the parade! Our Wings 2.0 workshops are a program of WREN's Women's Work Initiative\, which seeks to empower North Country women and children and create pathways to life-long success. By amplifying our children's voices\, we reinforce their inherent value to our community and empower them to share their unique worldviews.
