DESCRIPTION:This one-day HIV/AIDS Training will provide participants with basic and updated information about HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted Diseases (STDs). Topics covered will include:   Disease transmission of HIV/AIDS\, Hepatitis C and Hepatitis B (HCV and HBV)   the process and benefits of testing for HIV/AIDS\, HCV\, and HBV   the correlation between diseases and substance use in many clients   examples of harm-reduction strategies for clients   the legal rights for those diagnosed with HIV/AIDS   how recovery support workers can help dispel the culture of stigma related to HIV/AIDS. \n\nThis HIV/AIDS Training for Recovery Support Workers is the 3rd training in a series of 4 required trainings for individuals to earn the Certified Recovery Support Worker (CRSW) credential.
