Originally homesteaded by the Cole family in the mid-1800's\, it remained in their family as a cow dairy until the early 1950's. John Cole was well known throughout the area for his horse teams and the work he did with them. Ray Little bought the farm in 1956 and ran it as a dairy until the late 70's.\n\nIn 1982\, Lyle and Rachel Whitcomb managed to grow vegetables and keep the farm in working order. They also did PYO peas\, eggs\, pansies and a few cattle over the years\, all while running a hardware store\, a roofing business and raising four children.\n\n\n\nTim Wennrich and Jess Griffiths purchased the farm in 2003 and have continued the tradition of organized chaos and the love of farming. Tim wasted no time in getting his hands dirty on the land while Jessie fulfilled a lifelong dream of starting a school and\, with other women\, founded Woodland Community School\, located in the farmhouse that has thrived over the last 15 years.
