Located on 250 acres of beautiful woodlands and rolling hills in Bethlehem, The White Mountain School is a college preparatory boarding and day school for students in grades
9-12. Since our founding in 1886, we have remained true to the original focus of New England independent schools: the development of mind, body and spirit. The White Mountain School is intentionally small because only in a small school can we treat each student as an individual and nourish individual talents and passions. Students graduate with a solid college preparatory foundation and with a strong sense of themselves. Currently 112 students are enrolled from 13 states and 9 foreign countries: 90 students are boarders 22 students are day students from surrounding towns. Our student/faculty ratio is 5:1 and class size averages 10 students. Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered in every academic discipline. WMS offers a wide array of team and individual sports and recreational activities. Extracurricular activities allow students to explore or pursue their interests.
Ask about our merit scholarships: North Country Scholarships are awarded to day students who have maintained honor roll grades ($10,000) and our E.E. Ford Sustainability Scholarships are for students with a commitment to sustainability and environmental studies ($15,000 for boarding students; $7500 for day students).
