Bill Tobin, Harpist -- A well known harpist from northern Vermont. He is well known for his dramatic performances of original compositions. He has played harp since 1989 when he began taking lessons with Stephanie Curcio at the University of New Hampshire. Bill is the harp chairperson at the New Hampshire Highland Games, where he brings harpists together annually from all over New England to perform and make music in the NH Highland Harp Ensemble. In the Spring of 2017, Bill released his fifth studio CD, Have In Hand, a recording of classical, folk, and original compositions inspired by the idea of making the world a better place by using whatever we have in hand. The following recordings by Bill Tobin are also available: A Breath of Fresh Air, Laura’s Gift, Heron Rising, and Nature’s Peace. Bill presently teaches mathematics at Lake Region Union High School in Orleans, VT. He is an avid Scottish Country Dancer, outdoor enthusiast and gamer. Bill lives with his wife Laura and their son Liam in St. Johnsbury, VT.
