Get ready to “Blast Off” at a FREE fun-filled show at the Littleton Opera House. Be sure to bring the whole family on Tuesday, June 25th at 1pm when the Littleton Public Library presents: Robert Rivest, a talented comic mime. Mr. Rivest is an accomplished showman who has performed throughout the world. He studied under the famous mime-Marcel Marceau. Robert has some great surprises that might amaze even the adults in the crowd. The show is entitled: “Space: First Mime on the Moon!” Using mime, comedy and interactive tales, he explores a universe of humorous space stories. He combines classic mime artistry with hilarious highlights of space travel and the Apollo Mon Landing. With plenty of audience participation Robert brings sensational space stories to life before your eyes. The audience will act out how to be a test pilot, go through astronaut training, take a rocket into outer space, float around in weightlessness, and walk on the moon and more. The fun with movement, expression, imagination and laughter, is truly “out of this world!” This FREE event celebrates the beginning of the library’s summer reading program: “A Universe of Stories”. Additionally, we honor the 50th anniversary of our astronauts landing on the moon. Children and adults may register for the reading program starting June 14th at the library. Registration entitles finishers to earn prizes for logging and completing summer pleasure reading. Come to the library for more details or go to the children’s page on the library website at: http://littletonpubliclibrary.org/children/ for a link to summer programs.
