Ethical Considerations in Recovery Coaching, as a peer-to-peer recovery support service, come up often on the job and in discussion amongst professional circles, yet formal training on this topic is lacking. This three-day workshop addresses the need, and will cover topics, including: • Defining the coaching service role and functions • Coaching standards • Issues of vulnerability • Ethical decision-making • Performance enhancement • Legal issues… and more! Recovery Coach participants will learn and understand the following Goals & Objectives: • How to “stay in your lane” as a recovery coach • Issues around relationship boundaries and role clarity • The ethical decision-making process • How to develop guidelines for ethical decisions – Assess, Plan, Implement, Evaluate • Confidentiality issues with respect to treatment and other healthcare providers, and non-treatment organizations Cost: $40 (scholarships available – apply via registration link)
