Event Description:
The Disaster Behavioral Health Response Team Training will provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to assist individuals, families, and communities following critical incidents or disasters, as well as the opportunity to volunteer as a member of the NH Disaster Behavioral Health Response Team (DBHRT).

Attendees will:
  • Learn about reactions we expect to see in the aftermath of disasters and critical incidents
  • Gain an understanding of the Incident Command System (ICS) that helps DBHRT collaborate with response partners (i.e. Emergency Medical Services, Hospitals, Law Enforcement, Schools, etc.)
  • Learn Disaster Behavioral Health interventions, such as Psychological First Aid
  • Discuss coping strategies and stress management techniques for survivors and responders
6.5 CEUs approved by the NH Chapter of the NASW
